So much fun!
I love my donut maker. I've used it over and over, and it's so easy. The tops don't brown quite like the bottoms, but that hasn't mattered at all. Using a cake mix is easy, and if you use the "lite" recipes, omitting the oil, they're healthier, although they are a little crumblier that way. Following the regular recipe, you get a nice, soft cake donut--not as dense as you're used to, but delightful. What a great way to have cake and avoid using the oven during the summer! | 4 out of 5 |

Browning
I didn't have a problem with the donut browning. My batter was fairly thick so i was able to mound it up and they browned perfectly. If the batter was thin, I could see how you wouldn't be able to fill it enough. The problem I had was that although the donut looked perfect, it was extremely crumbly. I see people cautioning not to overfill, yet i found that was necessary so that the top of the donut becomes brownedIf anyone has a good recipe please post it

looking for one for myself
Sister in AZ made donuts and used an old family recipe. They were awesome and cooked great.. She added pecans and frosted with another scratch recipe. We are in Iowa and are definitely going to find us a BabyCakes donut maker.| 4 out of 5 |
