Good but too short
My donuts came out great but I only made 2 1/2 batches when it just stopped heating in the middle of a batch. Worked great the first day when I was so excited I made two different kinds. Then a week later, made a few more, first 6 came out great but for second set it just stopped working. Now instructions on box say I have to pay to return it to get a new one. That's not fair unless they are going to reimburse me. | 5 out of 5 |

Can't believe how happy I am with this!
I am a very experienced home baker but I have never bought what I thought was a gimmicky gadget before. Went to the store to buy a regular donut pan and decided on this because it was on a great sale. Came home and immediately made whole wheat buttermilk donuts. They turned out great in this little machine! It is the same principal as a waffle maker - so I don't think it is a gimmick anymore! I hazard a guess that ANY doughnut, cake, or muffin recipe will work well in this machine. Just watch your timing. I'm going to try double dark chocolate donuts next - with orange rind grated in. Yum!| 5 out of 5 |

Love it !!
I used my donut maker for the first time today and I don't know who loved it more....me or my husband. I made the maple spice ones but sprinkled powered sugar on 2 and used the maple glaze on 2 and left the last 2 plain just to see which he liked more. He loved them all. Both sides turned brown. I think you just have to have the right amount of batter in the form. I left 2 with a little less batter just to see as I had read the reviews and those were not quite as brown. I put the leftover batter in the fridge and am going to use it now to see how it bakes. It will be great having batter ready to go so my husband can do some when he needs a snack or make his own breakfast. I am taking the maker to my sons home in a couple of weeks when I go to babysit for 3 days and see how my little granddaughters like it. They love to bake & cook with me. Now looking for more recipes. | 4 out of 5 |

Well liked
2/2013; We enjoyed them, as did those in our church that we shared them with. I don't know when the previous comments were made (which is why I put the month/year on my post) but my donuts browned up nicely, were soft and moist, and well liked by all who tried them. I used the maple glazed applesauce donut recipe and intend to try the sour cream donuts next, for choir practice this week.
